VORTEX PUMPSRKC/RKNSERIESHorizontal single stagecentrifugal pumps with over hung impeller and axial suction, constructed using the "Back pull-out system" and available with four different sizes of support for the RKC series and a single size for the RKN series. The pumps function by making use of the inducedvortex principle: the impeller, which is positioned further back than the pump body, because of its particular shape induces a vortex in the conveyed liquid whichexpands in the body creating the pump discharge head.Maintechnical features
Flow rate up to 700 m3/h Discharge head up to 70 m Working pressure up to 10 bar Working temperature from -50 to + 140°C Environmental temperature up to 40°C Size from 65 to 200 mm Flanges drilling: UNI PN10 for RKC series UNI PN14 for RKN seriesAdvantages
The open impeller, which is positioned further back, with wide inter-vane passages makes itpossible to convey, without any danger of blockages, dirty or viscous liquids, liquids containing particles in suspension or with fibrous impurities, chemically inert or aggressive liquidsand those with dissolved air and solutions with crystals in suspension High performance levels Reliability CompactnessFieldsof application Because of their operatingcharacteristics , the RKN and RKC pumps are particularly suited for use in the following plants:
The paper and chemical wood pulp industries The sugar industry The farm-food industry The textile industry Waste water and sewage treatment plants The construction sector The chemical and petrochemical industry The pharmaceutical industry Thermo-electric power stationsMaterials The RKN pumps are made of AISI 314L stainless steel. The RKC pumps, on the other hand, can be made of AISI 304 or AISI 314 L stainless steel, or cast iron. On request it is possible to supply products made of special nickel based alloys to resist against the chemically more aggressive components such as sulphuric acid or hydrochloric acid. Shaftseal The RKN pumps are equipped withsoft packing seals but, depending on the liquid conveyed, simple, double, or in tandem mechanical seals can be installed with standard circulation and flushing in accordance with the API Standard 610 norms.
